Hoodoos
Hoodoos
Rocky outcroppings of limestone dot the countryside of Colorado’s Front Range. A holdover from the oceans that covered Colorado millions of years ago, they offer a picturesque change of scenery to the rolling plains of western America. This structure was created by volcanic ash that drifted from explosive volcanoes in Nevada. The formation occurs on both sides of I-25, but the Eastern side is the larger of the two.
